Jaipur Viral Video: Jaipur Police on Tuesday arrested seven individuals for distributing liquor to the people on the city streets during the Nirjala Ekadashi festival. In the two-and-a-half-minute viral clip, they can be seen distributing free beer and snacks in plastic glasses from a Scorpio. The viral video, which was supposedly aimed at creating viral content, ended up hurting the religious sentiments of the people.
It is believed that the video is from the same day on which Nirjala Ekadashi was celebrated. On one hand, devotees distributed sharbat and chilled water at multiple places in Jaipur, the odd act by the youth led to public outrage on the other. The video sparked a widespread reaction after it was shared on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

Among the youths was a social media influencer, Sachin Singh alias Lappu Sachin. The other people involved in the act were identified as Pradeep Kadwasra, Sunil Kumar, Aditya Mahariya, Vikas Verma, Abhishek Nirmal, and Ankit. Meanwhile, their vehicle has been seized by the Police. During interrogation, the accused claimed that their intention was not to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments and that they regretted the timing of the act.
