OnePlus is all set to unveil its all-new Nord 5, as well as the Nord CE5, on Tuesday. If you’ve been planning to buy a mid-range smartphone, the OnePlus CE5 and Nord 5 could be great choices for you. The OnePlus Summer Launch Event is scheduled to premiere on YouTube at around 2:00 PM.
While the company has kept most of the details under wraps, a constant stream of leaks and revelations has unveiled significant information, including the pricing, design, and camera capabilities of the phone.
OnePlus Nord 5
This time around, OnePlus has equipped its mid-ranger, the Nord 5, with top-of-the-line specs. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset – the first Nord phone ever to be equipped with an 8-series processor. Beyond that, it comes with LPDDR5X RAM, promising robust performance for gaming and multitasking.
To further ensure that the phone is capable of capturing vivid photographs, it is equipped with a 50MP LYT-700 main sensor on the rear, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, the phone features a 50MP JN5 front camera with autofocus. Both the rear and front cameras are expected to support 4K video recording at 60 frames per second.
To maintain optimal performance, the phone is expected to be equipped with a 7,300 sq. mm vapour chamber for efficient thermal management. The display is likely to be a vibrant 6.83-inch AMOLED panel. Beyond that, the device is all set to feature a 7,000 mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging.

OnePlus Nord CE 5: Still the value Midrange King
The OnePlus Nord CE5 could be the perfect mid-ranger if you’re looking for an affordable option, with an expected price of around Rs 25,000. The CE5 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex – a strong mid-range processor that offers users a great balance of performance.
The Nord CE5 is rumoured to sport a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera configuration is expected to include a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the front camera is likely to feature a 16MP sensor.
Aimed at delivering extended usage, the phone is equipped with a 7,100 mAh battery, 80W fast charging, and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Expected pricing is Rs 25,000.
