The third Test match at Lord’s between India and England is at a very crucial point. India is short of below 100 runs and has the full day to win the match in a low-scoring match. India bowled the hosts on just 192 runs, with the scores being levelled at 387 runs after both teams batted in the first innings. None of the batters in the second innings from both sides could even smash a half century in the second innings. Indian batters seemed determined to chase the score early, but the English speedsters made a dramatic comeback by clinching back-to-back wickets. Anything can happen from this point, but the Indian cricket fans are still optimistic.
The centurion from the last game and captain of the Indian side, Shubman Gill, could not create an impact with the bat. KL Rahul seemed to give a good touch to the game but was eventually sent back to the hut. The Indian vice-captain Rishabh Pant also could not contribute much with the bat. India has claimed victory through narrow margins in Test cricket, and if India wins this match, it could be a great boost for the young team, which lacks the expertise of star players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Here is the top five India victories through the narrowest margins.
🚨 WICKET! Rishabh Pant dismissed for just 9 runs. A big blow to the team — he was looking to settle in but couldn’t convert. Pressure back on the middle order now. 💔
