India’s Toss Trouble: SURPRISING Losing Streak For India, Haven’t Won A Single Toss Since..

The third match of the five-match Test series between India and England is being played at Lord’s Cricket Ground. In this match, Team India captain Shubman Gill lost the toss, and England captain Ben Stokes opted to bat first. Gill had already lost the toss in the previous two Tests as well, meaning he has now completed a hat-trick of toss defeats. Since January, the Indian men’s team has not won any toss in the International matches

Along with this, an unwanted record has been registered in India’s name. India has been consistently losing tosses across all formats of cricket for quite some time now. So far in 2025, India’s men’s and women’s teams have lost the toss 17 times, with the Indian men’s team accounting for 13 of them.

Only 2 Tosses Won So Far In 2025

The last time the Indian men’s team won a toss was in January 2025 under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, against England in Rajkot. Meanwhile, the Indian women’s team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, last won a toss in May 2025 against Sri Lanka. Collectively, across formats, the Indian men’s and women’s teams have played 19 matches in 2025 and have managed to win the toss only twice. The Indian men’s team alone has lost the toss in all 13 matches they’ve played this year. This is a record no team would want to hold.
