ICC Rankings: Not Virat Kohli Not In List! See All India’s No.1 Across Different Formats Of Cricket

The ICC rankings are out, and Team India and its members have progressed incredibly in the rankings. But surprisingly, India’s ace batter, Virat Kohli, could not find the top spot on the podium. Kohli, who has always been considered the master of the 50-over format, settles on the 4th spot with India’s newly inducted Test captain standing tall in ODI rankings. Pakistan’s Babar Azam follows Gill and India’s ODI captain and former Test and T20 captain sits in the third position.

India is currently ruling the cricket world with top players across all formats. Shubman Gill is ranked No. 1 in Men’s ODI batting, showing his great form in one-day matches. Jasprit Bumrah is No. 1 in Men’s Test bowling, making him the best bowler in the longest format. Ravindra Jadeja holds the spot for No. 1 Men’s Test all-rounder, proving his value with both bat and ball. In T20Is, Hardik Pandya is the No. 1 Men’s T20I all-rounder, a key player in short-format matches. On the women’s side, Smriti Mandhana is the No. 1 ODI batter, showing her dominance in women’s cricket.

Concern Over Bumrah

India’s ace bowler and world number 1 Test bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, has confirmed that he will only be available for just 3 Test matches in the 5-match series against England, commencing from June 20 at Leeds, Headingley. Due to the injury suffered during the Sydney Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Due to this, he has been advised to take as minimal a workload as he can to not sustaining any further injuries.
