After the recent change in Mumbai Indians captaincy, newly appointed Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has been receiving a surprising amount of hate from Rohit Sharma fans.
Rohit fans want the ‘Hitman’ to take back his leadership role which has seen the franchise win 5 IPL titles over the years.
The hate was quite apparent recently when Hardik Pandya posted a photo on social media platform Instagram, featuring him and his brother Krunal Pandya along with both of their kids. The photo also featured Hardik’s pet dogs.
The picture immediately saw a flurry of responses which showed mixed emotions from the fans.

Hardik had captioned the picture with a single heart emoji which sums up the emotion of the picture quite accurately.
With the 17th edition of the IPL starting in March, it will be interesting to see how the Mumbai faithful react to Hardik when he takes the field wearing the famous gold and blue jersey.

Hardik Pandya was bought by Mumbai Indians in an all cash deal ahead of the IPL 2024 season after the all-rounder took Gujarat titans to their maiden IPL title in their inaugural season of the league. He also went on to finish as runners-up the following season after they got defeated by MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 final.
According to reports, Hardik Pandya had asked to be named as the MI captain before re-joining the 5-time champions. This news didn’t come to the liking of the Mumbai fans and eventually led to the fans showing hate towards the Team India player.
