Today’s match for CSK will be the deciding match for their future in IPL as they currently on the 10 position is the IPL points table after losing six matches after having played eight matches till now.
Stephen Fleming Hinted At Dewald’s Debut possibility
“He’s one of the options that we’ll look at. We’ve got other players as well who have been with us for the whole tournament. Brevis is a good addition to the squad, but we just have to manage what we think would be the best team, given the players that have been working away with us, and also look at the impact that Brevis can have. So that’s part of the discussion,” said Fleming.
Reason Behind The Signing Of Dewald
The IPL 2025 contract between CSK and Bravis cost INR 2.2 crore. The team selected Brevis to fill Gurjapneet Singh’s slot. CSK had already selected seven foreign players during the mega-auction which provided them with the option to select an additional foreign member. The former Mumbai Indian took up his position at CSK following two IPL seasons. He has appeared in 10 IPL games where he accumulated 230 runs at an impressive 133.72 strike rate. Before the mega-auction MI decided not to retain him so he remained unknown in cricket circles until CSK recently selected him.
