In a shocking case of alleged medical negligence, a 60-year-old woman died of a heart attack while the doctor on duty was allegedly watching video reels on his mobile phone. The woman had been in the emergency ward for 15 minutes before her death. CCTV footage of the incident later went viral on social media.
The family members of the woman alleged that they lost her due to the negligence of the doctor. The doctor has been identified as Dr Adarsh Sanger who was on the duty.
The woman’s family member alleged that the doctor instructed a nurse to attend her instead of attending himself. Despite the relatives urging him to attend to her, “he was stuck to his mobile phone while watching the video reels.”
An argument broke out between the woman’s son and the doctor after her condition worsened. The doctor reportedly slapped him, leading to chaos. Police were soon called to the scene and managed to control the situation.
The CCTV footage shows the doctor purportedly slapped him and a brawl broke out in the ward. Chief Medical Superintendent, Dr Madan Lal, corroborated the incident, saying that an investigation is on and a strict action will be taken against those responsible, if found guilty.
