A woman from Gorakhpur was arrested by police after she allegedly killed a 45-year-old Jabalpur-based man, who was a social media sensation for asking a marriage-related question to Acharya Aniruddhacharya.
A video widely circulated on social media platforms showed a man asking a question to Aniruddhacharya. He said he was not able to get married despite having a decent education and 18 acres of land.
When the question of Indra Kumar, a resident of Jabalpur, circulated on social media, a woman identified as Sahiba Bano watched it and conspired to marry him after changing her identity. Police said she somehow managed to get the contact details of Kumar and introduced herself as Khushi Tiwari, by changing her identity.
Later, she proposed marriage to Kumar and asked him to come to Kushinagar in Gorakhpur. Police said that in Kushinagar, they got married, and the woman, along with her accomplices, killed the man.
When the decomposed body of Kumar was found in Kushinagar, police circulated his image on social media, following which people identified him, and it came to light that he was in Gorakhpur to marry a woman.
Later, police traced the woman, and it was revealed that she had changed her identity to get the property and money from Kumar after marriage. A case was registered, and further investigation is underway.
