But, Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma’s post about Ratan Tata didn’t go down well with the netizens. Vijay faced huge backlash and sharp criticism on social media. He was severely trolled by the internet users.

The backlash started with Vijay’s post that he posted yesterday, mourning the death of Ratan Tata. He wrote on X, “A legend who will inspire every generation. Entrepreneurs of the next generation will miss interacting with the most humble businessman of India. Salutes, Sir. Ok Tata Bye Bye.”

What Did Netizens’ Say On Vijay’s Post?

Everything seemed fine, but people appeared displeased with the last lines, ‘Ok Tata Bye Bye.’ Netizens called it ‘inappropriate,’ ‘cheap,’ and a big idiocy. They even went on to say that Vijay doesn’t have any manners. One user wrote, ‘never misses a chance to be in news.’ Another user said, “That’s the reason Paytm is sinking, this man is focusing in wrong directions.”

The massive trolling led to the deletion of post by Vijay, but users took the screenshot and it went viral. The post was shared by user Shivam Sourav Jha.

Ratan Tata passed away on Wednesday night at the age of 86. His last rites were performed on 10 October at a crematorium in Mumbai, with full state honours. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other eminent personalities from politics, business and sports attended his last rites.
