Noida Airport Construction To Finish By…; Illegal Structure Within 10 Km To Face Action

Noida International Airport in Jewar is now scheduled to start domestic and cargo operations by mid-September 2025, with international flights commencing in November 2025.

Noida International Airport Ltd. (NIAL) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rakesh Kumar Singh visited the airport on Wednesday to check several construction projects, including the terminal building, runway, and the ATC tower along with the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and water treatment plant.

He said that all construction work would be finished by September, and the STP and water treatment plant were almost completed, with the machinery expected to arrive by July.

In a meeting of the Environment Management Committee, District Magistrate, Manish Kumar Verma, highlighted aircraft safety and took strict action against unauthorised constructions within ten kilometers of the airport. He stated that both birds and animals need to be controlled in the vicinity.

DM also directed officers in departmental meetings to regularly inspect airport surroundings once a month and to submit report on progress. He also observed the need to form a survey team to identify and demolish buildings that do not have No Objection Certificates (NOCs).

Officials focused on the need to prevent unauthorised laser emitters, and drone activity for publicity purposes, directed heavy outreach in rural areas.
