IMD Weather LIVE Updates: Bengaluru residents woke up to pleasant, cloudy weather today, July 10, with cooler temperatures perfect for outdoor activities. On the other hand, parts of Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Arunachal Pradesh were hit by thunderstorms and gusty winds. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain in south Peninsular India, including Kerala and Mahe, as well as Lakshadweep, over the next 7 days.
According to IMD’s latest weather bulletin, rainy conditions are expected to last through the weekend across Northeast and Northwest India. A warning has also been issued for torrential rains over East and Central India, which may lead to traffic disruptions and delays. The affected areas include Madhya Pradesh (July 10–15); Vidarbha (July 10–11); Chhattisgarh (July 10–11, 14 & 15); Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim (July 10 & 13); Gangetic West Bengal (July 10 & 14); Jharkhand (July 10); and Odisha (July 9 and July 13–15).
Heavy rain lashed Delhi-NCR on Wednesday around 7 PM, leading to waterlogging and traffic jams in several areas. Residents woke up to cooler weather, bringing much-needed respite from the hot and humid conditions. Meanwhile, waterlogged roads, especially in Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida, caused difficulties for commuters. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that light to moderate rain will continue until the weekend.
The weather Department has issued an alert for intense downpours over East Rajasthan and Uttarakhand from July 10 to 15; Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh on July 10; Himachal Pradesh on July 10 and again from July 13 to 15; West Uttar Pradesh from July 10 to 13; East Uttar Pradesh on July 10 and 11; and West Rajasthan from July 12 to 15.
