“The farmer should lead the movement of transformation for realising the all-round development of a nation which is lagging behind, like that of China and South Korea in spite of the fact that the local ryots are capable of building a nation of development,” said the Chief Minister.

Farmers’ Protest on Maharashtra’s Buldhana

Earlier on Saturday, a protest broke out in Maharashtra’s Buldhana at Sangrampur tehsil office premises against the government’s inaction crop spoilage due to the unseasonal rains.

Farmers’ Organization held the protest demanding the government to open up a gram procurement centre to protect their crops in future. The union further pressed for the need of onion subsidy for summer. Maharashtra produces the most onion in the nation.

As reported by the media, the unseasonal rains in the state have caused considerable damage to the crops.
