Arvinder Singh Lovely also noted that the entire state unit of Congress opposed the party’s alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi.

“In his resignation letter, he stated that the Delhi Congress Unit objected to allying with a party that had been established solely to level false, fabricated, and malicious corruption charges against the Congress party. Furthermore, half of their cabinet ministers are in jail on corruption charges,”

Arvinder Singh Lovely stated that despite reservations about the alliance, he respected the party’s decision and ensured the Delhi Congress unit followed the high command’s directive. He emphasized going as far as visiting Mr. Kejriwal’s (Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal) residence on the night of his arrest.
