New Delhi: Amid the spreading of H3N2 virus, the Union Health Ministry’s data has revealed that the cases of H1N1 (Swine Flu) are on the rise in the nation.

As per the official data, as many as 955 H1N1 cases have been reported by February with the highest cases recorded in Tamil Nadu (545) which followed Maharashtra (170), Gujarat (74), Kerala (42) and Punjab (28).

However, the Centre has also mentioned that the cases of H1N1 are expected to decline from March-end. The ministry has assured that the situation is closely being monitored.

The data further mentioned that 3,97,814 cases of acute respiratory illness and influenza-like illness were reported in the country till February.
