‘Can’t Afford Daughter’s Insulin’: Real Estate Businessman In Lucknow Dies By Suicide After Facebook Live Broadcast

A businessman died by suicide by shooting himself after livestreaming a Facebook video in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. The businessman took the extreme step because he could not afford insulin injections for his daughter.

According to a report published by NDTV, the victim was a real estate businessman. He shot himself using the firearm of his security guard, who was deployed at his office.

The Facebook Live video was posted shortly before he took his life. The police have not revealed the identity of the man.

After seeing the footage, the family members alerted the police, who rushed to the spot, but the man had already ended his life.

Police said the businessman was facing a financial crunch and owed crores in debt. A case has been registered, and police have launched a probe into how he gained access to the guard’s firearm.

Head-on collision between two lorries; Three including both drivers dead

In a tragic accident near Aruppukottai in Virudhunagar district, three people, including the drivers of both vehicles, were killed on the spot in a head-on collision between two lorries on the Madurai-Thoothukudi National Highway near the Palayampatti junction.

Goods lorry lost control

A container lorry transporting raw materials for paper production from Thoothukudi towards Palani via Aruppukottai was travelling on the highway. At the same time, another goods lorry coming from Madurai towards Thoothukudi reportedly lost control, veered into the opposite lane, and collided head-on with the container lorry.

Owing to the forceful impact, both lorry drivers and another person were crushed to death on the spot, with their bodies mutilated beyond recognition.
