Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the newly constructed Mithapur-Mahuli elevated road.

To make Patna jam-free and improve the traffic system of the city, a new elevated road was inaugurated on Monday, June 16. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the newly constructed Mithapur-Mahuli elevated road.

With the opening of this new route, lakhs of people living in the southern part of the capital will get a lot of relief in traffic. Apart from this, the journey to and from various districts of South Bihar will also become very easy now. People will get relief from long traffic jams and their time will be saved.

Mithapur-Mahuli-Punpun Project

Under the Mithapur-Mahuli-Punpun project, an elevated road has been constructed from Bhupatipur to Punpun (NH-22) at a cost of Rs 1400 crore. The ceremony was presided over by the Road Construction Minister, Nitin Naveen. Ravi Shankar Prasad, the Lok Sabha member from Patna Sahib, Mrs. Misa Bharti, the MP from the Pataliputra constituency, and many other leaders were also invited to the inauguration ceremony.

With the opening of the Mithapur-Mahuli elevated road, people living in the southern areas of Patna will get a lot of convenience. The journey to Jehanabad, Arwal, Bihar Sharif and Gaya will now become easier than ever. In the first phase, the elevated road from Sipara to Mahuli has been completed.

Now the distance from Sipara to Mahuli can be covered in just 5-6 minutes. Earlier, it took a lot of time to cover this distance. The construction work of the Mithapur-Mahuli elevated road is being done in two phases.

In the first phase, the construction from Sipara to Mahuli has been completed. In the second phase, a 2.10 km elevated road from Mithapur to Sipara and a 2.20 km four-lane road from Mahuli to Punpun are being built.

According to the Road Construction Department, the elevated road from Mithapur to Sipara will be completed by November this year.
