Andhra Pradesh: A shocking incident came to light on Tuesday after a software engineer was brutally killed by unidentified people in Vizianagaram district. The techie, identified as a 28-year-old man was on his way to Nemalam village from his grandparent’s home in Buripeta village. The incident took place on Monday night when the victim who was on his motorbike was attacked by unknown people. According to reports, he was hit on his head besides sustaining injuries on other parts.
Police recovered the techie’s body from Therlam Mandal’s Nemalam village. He was employed in a software company in Bangalore and returned to his village just a few days ago. A probe is underway to find out the exact location of the murder. The deceased’s body was later sent for autopsy at a government hospital and a case has been registered at the Police station.
An investigation has been launched in the matter, meanwhile, the autopsy reports are awaited. Efforts are on to find out if the murder was connected to a love affair or revenge. Additionally, the statement of the techie’s family members were also taken.
PhD Student Dies By Suicide
In yet another incident, a 24-year-old Ph.D. student, studying at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur tragically died by suicide in his hostel room on Monday. The deceased, identified as Ankit Yadav, from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was a first-year PhD scholar in the Dept. of Chemistry. The incident unfolded yesterday evening when his calls went unanswered. His friends sensed something wrong and immediately alerted the authorities who rushed to his room.
Additional DCP (West), Vijendra Dwivedi informed that Yadav’s Hostel room’s door had to be broken to recover his body. They found a three-page suicide note there which revealed he took the extreme step out of his own free will. His body was later sent for a post-mortem examination and his family was also informed.
