Dipika Kakar's husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, who is also a popular actor, revealed that there is a chance of Dipika's cancer recurring even after surgery.

Dipika Kakar worried her fans after she revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage two liver cancer. She went through a difficult 14-hour surgery and is now doing better. However, Dipika’s husband, Shoaib, who is also a popular actor, revealed that there is a chance of Dipika’s cancer recurring even after surgery.

Talking about Dipika’s health, Shoaib said in his vlog, “Earlier, we thought that maybe if the tumour was removed, then everything would be fine. As far as the body is concerned, there are currently no cancer cells present. However, the biopsy report that we received and the PET scan we reviewed indicated a more serious situation. The tumour was classified as grade three and poorly differentiated, which means it was quite aggressive. Uske chances kaafi hote hai re-occur karne ki (The chances of re-occurring are significant),”

He further added, “After the surgery, the doctor prescribed medication. Although there are no cancer cells now, if any are detected in the future, the dosage will be increased, and she will receive medication intravenously…Her new journey will start next week. Yeh treatment ek saal, dedh saal ya do saal bhi jaa sakta hai (The treatment can go from one year to two years). Scans will be conducted every three weeks.”

Earlier, Dipika celebrated Shoaib’s birthday and thanked him for being her support system. She wrote, “Celebrating the Man who lights my life every single day with his love…. @shoaib2087 tum ho to mai hun… tumse hi mai hun… you’ve walked thru with me in the best & the worst times… holding my hand tight…… your eyes telling me im here right here… ur touch giving me all the strength i need and your warmth giving me all the comfort …. jitna bhi mushkil samay ho tumhara saath uska ehsaas nahi hone deta…. last few days humdono ne bahut kuch face kiya hai… hospital ke corridor me rona.. Mera scan ke liye bahut darna…. surgery ka din… ICU ke din…. u have not slept for nights even now when im back home main karwat bhi badlun to aap uth jaate ho….to make sure Im alright… You have actually cared for me ek chote baby ki tarah… and u continue to do that…”
