UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar had announced in a tweet on Wednesday that the results would be declared by April 13.

The UGC chairman tweeted saying, “NTA will announce the UGC-NET result by tomorrow (April 13). For details you can visit ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The UGC NET exam was conducted in 83 subjects from February 21 to March 10, 2023 in multiple phases. A total of 8,34,537 candidates took part in it.

Steps to check UGC NET Result 2023 

  • After the result is declared, visit the UGC NET website ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • Go to the UGC NET December Result link available on the home page.
  • Fill the login details and hit the submit button.
  • Now the result will be on your screen.
  • Click to download it and take a printout for future use.

Passing marks

Unreserved Category – 40 percent
Reserved Category – 35 percent

Candidates will have to pass in each paper separately. In Paper 1, unreserved category candidates have to score 40 out of 100, while reserved category candidates have to score 35 out of 100.

Unreserved candidates will have to score 70-75 out of 200 in Paper 2 while the minimum marks for candidates belonging to OBC and EWS categories will be 65 to 70. 60 to 65 for SC and 55 to 60 for ST.
