Delhi Weather Update: Rain lashed parts of the national capital on Sunday evening, providing respite from hot, humid conditions. However, the heavy downpour resulted in severe waterlogging in several areas, triggering traffic disruptions and chaos. In response, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alerts for multiple places, warning of incessant rains.
According to the IMD’s latest forecast, a wet spell is expected to continue across Delhi-NCR this week. The weather body has predicted that the sky will remain partly cloudy today, with light to moderate rainfall likely across the city. Residents are urged to avoid low-lying areas such as ITO and Firoz Shah Road, and to plan their travel accordingly. Several flights were diverted on Sunday at IGI Airport due to low visibility and stormy weather conditions.
