GRAP I Revoked, What Next?

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Monday revoked Stage-I of the extant schedule of GRAP in the entire NCR. The commission noted that the AQI of Delhi has improved considerably in last few days due to the favorable meteorological conditions prevailing in Delhi-NCR, increased mixing height and higher ventilation coefficient.

The CQAM has further instructed all the agencies to take note of various actions and the targeted timelines as noted in the comprehensive policy issued by the Commission to curb air pollution in the NCR. It has asked agencies to take appropriate actions, particularly in the dust mitigation measures for C&D activities & Roads/Open areas, which would become a pre-dominant factor in the coming months determining the air quality in Delhi-NCR.
