Bengaluru Traffic Police created a video featuring Ghibli aesthetics to show drivers why unsafe wheeling should always be avoided. Bengaluru Traffic Police utilized the Studio Ghibli social media trend to develop innovative media content that discourages hazardous wheelie stunt activities.
The official Ghibli video posted on Sunday uses artificial intelligence to show that wheeling remains dangerous even during Ghibli-alike scenarios. In a Ghibli-style animation a motorcyclist displays a dangerous wheeling move which brings this warning: “The spirited act of wheeling remains forbidden as well as unsafe in both fantasy worlds.” To protect yourself and others, follow traffic regulations at all times. Ride responsibly.” The animation was accompanied by actual pictures of a bike rider receiving a traffic stop while performing a wheelie on Bengaluru’s crowded roads.

The animated post shares a message, “Even in the whimsical world of Ghibli, wheeling is no fairytale—it’s dangerous and punishable. For your safety and the safety of others, follow traffic rules. Ride responsibly.” An animated video in the post showed riders getting arrested while displaying actual pictures of someone being apprehended for performing wheelies on busy Bengaluru streets.
While many users praised the police for engaging with viral trends, some pointed out broader traffic violations. “Welcome to the Ghibli world,” one user commented. Others, however, raised concerns about enforcement gaps, questioning why stricter action isn’t taken against those who drive in the wrong direction or violate traffic laws daily. Another user said, “Please heavily fine people who do it with absolute contempt to the law makers & those who uphold it.”
The Bengaluru Police has repeatedly cautioned commuters across the road that they may cause injury to their fellow riders doing such dangerous stunts. They also warned that FIRs may be filed if anyone was a witness to the performance of stunts on the roadways.
