The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has informed Bengaluru that there will be electricity supply cuts in some areas of Bengaluru on Thursday, June 26. There will be supply disruptions in some places from 10 am to 2-3 pm and others from 10 am to 4 pm. BESCOM has asked residents to plan their day appropriately to avoid inconvenience.

Supply has been disrupted in several locations in Bengaluru on Wednesday, 25th June, due to maintenance work and heavy rainfall precaution. The supply disruption will last 7 hours from 10 am to 5 pm.
In another update, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in six districts in Karnataka. Also an alert has been issued for Belgaum, Dharwad, Kodagu, Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru districts. Wind speed is expected to be 30 to 40 kmph in these areas.
According to the weather body, rain activity is expected to continue for the next three days. Rain showers are also expected to pelt the capital, Bengaluru, as well Kolar, Tumkur, Bellary, Davangere, Haveri, Gadag, Koppal, Dharwad, Vijayapura, Mysore, and Mandya districts.
