New Notification

A new notification dated 2nd of July iterated that the rate of fee for use of a section of national highway comprising of structures would be calculated by adding ten times the length of structures to the length of the section of national highway excluding the length of structure or structures, or five times the total length of the section of National Highway, whichever is lesser shall be paid by the motorist. These structures would include Independent bridges, Tunnels, Flyovers or Elevated Highway.

To further help motorists understand the new rule, it has been detailed with an example that if the total length of the highway is 40 Km comprising structure alone the minimum length would be computed as 10X40 ( ten times of the length of the structure)= 400 Km’ or 5 times the total length of the section of a National Highway= 5 X 40=200 Km’s. The user fee would be calculated on the lesser length.
