Witnessing a sharp competition in the streetfighter segment, TVS has updated the Apache RTR 310 with new features. The new standard version is now priced at Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the fully loaded variant crosses the Rs 3 lakh mark. The company faces stiff competition from rivals like the KTM RC 390 and Duke 390. Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged.
Here’s What’s New
The Apache RTR 310’s engine continues to produce 35.6hp and 28.7Nm of peak torque. However, media reports suggest that the bike has been recalibrated to monitor accurate throttle input and gear position, aiming to enhance responsiveness without compromising performance.
The RTR 310 now features the same rear sprocket as the RR 310—earlier, the naked version had a 4-tooth larger rear sprocket than its faired counterpart. It also gains Drag Torque Control, which prevents rear-wheel slip during engine braking and downshifting, working alongside the slip-and-assist clutch.
Soon, the bike will be available with (BTO) packs, offering additional features such as launch control and keyless ignition. These upgrades will add to the already comprehensive suite of rider aids, including cruise control, a bidirectional quickshifter, and switchable traction control and (ABS).
The RTR 310’s already aggressive design has been further enhanced with a transparent clutch cover, knuckle guards, and sequential turn signals—all standard. TVS has also introduced a new colour for the bike called Fiery Red.
The base variant of the Apache RTR 310, priced at Rs 2.40 lakh, is available only in black. Higher variants, priced at Rs 2.57 lakh, come in red and yellow and include a bidirectional quickshifter. Even the base model is well-equipped, featuring traction control, cruise control, Drag Torque Control, and rear-wheel lift control.

If you seek peak performance coupled with a race-bred chassis, the 401 should be your choice. Consider the bike to be a 390 in a new body style and a different chassis. Starting at Rs 2.92, the Svartpilen could be another choice if you want a peak performance bike that is capable of handling the daily riding tasks with ease.
